My dad got Keely this little wicker rocker awhile ago. I decided it needed a little chair pad this weekend. So, taking some inspiration from
Ms. Mayfly, I made this little patchwork one. And through the art of photography it doesn't look half bad here! The rounded back on this one was a real pain, but it works. Good enough for me. The
square ones I made before were MUCH easier.

What's this? Thrifting on the weekend? This is unheard of.
I NEVER go to thrift stores on the weekend. When weekends were the only time I could go (pre-Keely) I rarely found much. Now that I can go during the week, I always do! Thursdays and Fridays are the best days to go I've found. Anyway, we went to a neighboring city on Saturday to clear out the sheet sections of 3 stores. I worked fast, about 10 min. in each store. Zipped in and headed directly to linens, snagged everything that caught my eye. I'm seeing if I can build up a little inventory for the potential online thrift store. Look at the pretty stack of sheets!
So, I'm wondering if it might be better if I cut up most of the sheets into quarters. That way, more people would have the opportunity to get some since they are hard to find. I don't often find duplicates of old sheets either. Also, I will have a hard time parting with so many of my pretty, soft, warn sheets! I know I don't need a whole sheet though, I don't think many other people would either. This way I could keep a yard for myself and sell off the other 2-3 yards. If I only sell full sheets then one person could come and buy them all out easily and no one else would get a chance. Still thinking. Maybe I'll only cut up the ones I want to keep a piece of and sell the rest as whole sheets. I dunno.
