Went thrifting yesterday. I'm not going to post all the lovelies I found since I'll be selling them to you soon! The below is a curtain panel (1 of 4) that I found. Pretty, no?
I've been itching to buy little wooden dollhouse furniture for awhile, just waiting for Keely to be old enough or interested enough to give me the excuse to buy some of
this cute stuff. Luckily I found these pieces. They'll hold me over for a little longer.
The logo on the bottom of all of it is so funky.
<–This photo will NOT center for some reason.
AND~ The second cutest little fold-up chair I've ever seen.
They had a little yellow chair this week. I know! What's a girl to do? Keely insisted that we get it so the red chair would have a friend. No argument from me.

So, I don't shop for new clothes or shoes well…hardly ever. I was e-mailing with Amy about her effort to cut down on unnecessary spending/shopping and realized I couldn't cut down on that. Almost everything we get comes from a thriftstore! We buy cheap food at the cheapest grocery store. We buy household things at Target once or twice a month and that is really it. We haven't been to a resturant in close to 4 years, or out to a movie. We get the majority of all our books, clothes, toys through thrifting. We live pretty cheaply.
However, my last pair of summer shoes I got in 2000! Right before we left for Costa Rica. They got broken in really fast and in some really unpleasant ways that we will not discuss here. I loved these Naot sandals. I've worn them everyday- spring, summer and into fall for 7 years. This year they told me I really had to replace them. They are looking a bit embarrassing. Actually, I'm a bit embarrassed revealing how cheap and abnormal I am!
I went online (because I detest shoe shopping) and ordered 3 new pairs of shoes!!! Hopefully, this set will last me several years. I got my first pair yesterday. A pair of funky Born's. I think I may break my neck in them though. They have a 2 1/2 inch heal. I am clumsy. Wish me luck.
Old, ugly, well-loved on the left. Sparkly new ones on the right.
