batten down the hatches & more sheet
So, um there's a tropical storm at my house! Weeee. Branches were banging on our roof all night, the rain sounds like nails beating against the window pains. This morning it is a bit nuts out there and everything, including the schools are closed. It's so dark and windy and rainy. Our yard looks like a lake. Looks a great deal like the last hurricane we had. We were clueless that this was coming. I thought it was just some rain heading our way. Maybe I should watch some t.v. huh? Interesting idea. We have to run around and secure everything outdoors now, so things don't blow away! It's so windy out that our attic door and stairs came flying down from the ceiling hatch! Good thing no one was standing there. I hope this thing doesn't take out our power. That is always NOT fun.

Well, our house is really covered in sheet now. I kid you not. Take a look.
The neatly folded tower of sheet.
And I just had to go and get some more sheet…
(Sorry for the bad photo quality, but did I mention there's a giant storm on us? )
Now, I've really got too much sheet. Pretty though isn't it? I still have a few more piles. I ran out of steam though. Ironing and cutting is not much fun.
I found these grandma-esque soup bowls the other day-
I looked them up online and they sell for $25. a piece! I got 4 of them for much cheaper than that, obviously. I haven't decided if I'm going to sell these bowls or not though. I really like the colors.
Then, my husband insists that we are keeping these simple red trimmed French plates.
I'm partial to all white dishes, but I like the cafe look of these.
Now, I apologize if I haven't been getting around to all of your blogs or commenting as much as normal. I've just been busy. Also, since I went and cut up all my sheet the store site needs some final tweaking to accomodate that. I still hope to have it open one day next week.
Enjoy your weekend.
