owls & beignets
October 1, 2007
Soooooo… I've been having far too many contractions lately. Friday night they were going for about 3 hours! I was getting a little worried and also realized that I am so not ready to have the baby yet. eek. Best get ready. There's only about 6/7 weeks left. Yeah. Moving right along. Just because the weather isn't saying fall- I'm still pretending like it is. I've been thinking about a little autumn/Halloween decor, so I finally made up a few of moonstitches owls. I've had them bookmarked for a really long time.

Your pregnancy seems to have flown by. It’s a funny stage this 6 weeks to go bit – so close and yet a whole new life away.
And frankly, who wouldn’t steal one of those cutie owls.

Hold it in, mama! I speak purely from the selfish motivation that your baby things are not all quite ready yet, isn’t it kind I care about you?
Seriously, take it easy.
Adorable owls and those beignets look mighty tempting too!

I think it is great your owls turned out to be toys. It is such a great reward from our kids when they just take what they like. Hope she has lots of fun with her new fellows!

Drink more water – dehydration causes contrations. Take long hot baths when they start. Get more sleep – ask for more help – put your feet up! Early contractions (if they are stronger than Braxton-Hicks) are a sign that you aren’t get enough nourishment (rest, food, water, love, inspiration) and are working too hard.
If they are just Braxton-Hicks contractions, be happy – less work to do during labor and they won’t cause the baby to come early!

my mom is from new orleans and she and my dad just went back for the first time SINCE THE WEDDING for their 50th anniversary. they went straight to du monde and had the wondrous fried puffs of dough and chicory coffee (ick). she worked in a big department store in the french quarter at a candy counter. trivia of me! who cares! but anyway, love the owlies. they should absolutely be toys.

Ahhh, all I can say it that I had Bella at 34 weeks! The very day after I finished painting her nursery. Not that I’m trying to worry you or anything,
