a walk and some chairs
November 6, 2007
Fall is here. It's chilly and the leaves are finally changing. Keely and I took a nice walk together. She was calling our day walks "nature walks" because she gathered things. Now it is a fairy house collecting nature walk. She found lots of goods for their home. Each day she adds a little something to their house and a few times they've left her things in return. She gets so excited by it.
I finally found old wood school chairs for our dining room! Actually, my mom spotted them at a store she goes to. I've been looking for about a year. There are 4 of them and I like 'em and they were cheap. But now…well, now our table needs to be painted white to complete the look I was going for. Heh. This thing I have is a sickness. I don't deny it- chairs, changing our abode, painting.
I really do need to add a "chair" category to the side bar though.

Yes, a chair gallery would be nice. My mom still has my little chair and it is in bad shape but I will NOT let her get rid of it. Little chairs are cute.

Thanks for the erm, thank you card.
It was a lovely surprise in the mail.
Cale is loving nature walks lately too. We find so much “creepy” stuff lately. I’ve lived here almost 3 years and never seen this kind of stuff in the neighborhood. Lots of dead animals that we can’t help but look at and wonder what they are. Like a tiny mouse type creature and centipedes. It’s fun though and even funnier when he tells his dad how creepy they were.
Oh, look at those leaves! Your photos never stop making me homesick.

I was just thinking “Angela should have a whole chair category” when I got to your last line. Ha! Great minds, right?
I love your fairy house walks. Things like that are what keep the magic in our lives.

have you ever considered Montessori Education?
maybe you have some montesssori schools near you.
i used to teach and your daughter sounds like she would
learn best in that environment. check out some schools and see if you like what you see. They can be very different, so visit
the classrooms and you’ll know one way or the other.
i enjoy your blog, thank you!
